The West End triple Olivier Award winning production of Ghosts – the third title in the West End Theatre Series – was shot in high definition by Digital Theatre and will be distributed in UK theatres on June 26. Distributed by CinemaLive, Ghosts will be the first live event cinema production captured in the Dolby Atmos sound format. This working collaboration will not only enhance the already powerful storytelling on stage and screen, but raises the bar for event cinema.

The documentary Fool Cool Rock from director: Hiroyuki Nakano will be mixed and released in Auro 11.1 this month. “I’m so proud that Auro 11.1 by Barco was selected as the preferred sound format for this movie. Columbia Pictures’ The Amazing Spider Man 2 marks a groundbreaking collaboration between visual effects, sound and post-production teams from Sony Pictures Entertainment. The Academy Award-winning Sony Pictures Imageworks crafted over 1000 visual effects shots, Sony Pictures Post Production provided sound – its first project in in Dolby Atmos – and Colorworks performed film scanning, conforming and color grading all in 4K.
LipSync Post has appointed leading re-recording mixer Sven Taits to join its BAFTA craft award-winning sound team, starting May 12.

Indian post-production house Trinity Digy Labs — owned by sound engineers J. Prakash and A. S. Lakshminarayan — has recently installed the Auro-3D Studio System. To date, Lakshminarayan and his team have already mixed the successful 2014 thriller Jilla (R. T. Neason), Aarambham directed by Vishnuvardhan, Vizhi Moodi Yosithaal directed by KG Senthil Kumar and the much-anticipated historical drama Ramanujan, directed by Gnana Rajasekaran, in Auro-3D.
