AlphaDogs has completed post on the psychedelic horror film Buzzard Hollow Beef where the phrase “you are what you eat” takes on a whole new meaning. In this suspenseful food horror story, a family experiences vivid hallucinations, leading them to believe that cannibalistic hillbillies have poisoned them.
Seattle’s SIFF Cinema and the Northwest Film Forum will present the world premiere of Danger Diva, a Robert McGinley film, with a live rock concert from Thunderpussy on April 13. Danger Diva is a cyberpunk musical thriller that McGinley wrote, directed and produced.
AlphaDogs Post Production has completed work on the AFI Film, Trouble Man, directed by Jackson Young. The story follows the life of a high school senior who after turning his life around falls into a downward spiral that may prevent him from reaching his dreams of getting into college.
Still Devout is a new AFI Thesis film written and directed by Melissa Perez, which follows the story of a young woman who embarks on a heart-wrenching journey to help find answers and healing for her brother’s mental illness. To help optimize the film’s production workflow in preparation for post-production, Perez met with Burbank-based AlphaDogs for a personalized post consultation before the film was shot.
Dogs have been considered man’s best friend for centuries, but these days it might be more accurate to consider dogs man’s best baby. This sometimes strange phenomenon inspired filmmakers Kasi Brown and Brandon Walter to produce Gone Doggy Gone, a film with a comedic twist that follows a couple stuck in a lackluster marriage who treat their dog like a baby until it gets kidnapped.
When planning the post-production phase for her film Movie Night, Anne McCarthy turned to Burbank-based AlphaDogs, having worked with them previously. “I now use AlphaDogs exclusively after they were able to fix a problem I had on a past project in just 24 hours. I knew my film would be in good hands and would not have risked taking it anywhere else,” said McCarthy.
When it came time for Rob Roy Cesar to post his new romantic comedy Pacoima Can Wait he realized there were problems with the audio. Uncertain there was anything that could be done to make the audio sound better, Cesar brought his film to AlphaDogs in Burbank upon the recommendation of a fellow film composer.

The documentary feature Sing Over Me explores how modern-day psalmist Dennis Jernigan went from years of depression and despair while leading a double life, to becoming a writer of some of the most popular Christian songs of all time, discovering his true identity along the way.
