Cinedigm Acquires U.S. Rights to The Identical

Cinedigm has acquired U.S. rights to City of Peace’s faith and family-friendly film The Identical, featuring Ashley Judd, Amanda Crew, Seth Green, Joe Pantoliano and Ray Liotta. The film is being released theatrically on September 5th on a targeted 1,200 screens. The home entertainment rollout, including physical, digital, television and non-theatrical rights, is set to launch January 2015.

AEG Live, NCM Sign Multi-Year Deal

AEG Live will be bringing music to NCM’s FirstLook pre-show in movie theaters nationwide in a new multi-year deal with National CineMedia, making AEG Live the premiere music supplier to NCM. The deal kicked off in August with ten- and twenty-second features starring international superstars Enrique Iglesias and Pitbull promoting their upcoming 24-city AEG Live-promoted North American concert tour, launching on September 12 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

Cinedigm, Cinema Management Sign Distribution Deal with Moriah Films

Cinedigm and Cinema Management Group announced that they have entered into a multi-year home entertainment distribution deal for the award-winning Moriah Films’ documentary film collection of the Simon Wiesenthal Center. Located in Los Angeles, Moriah Films has twice won Academy Awards for Best Documentary Feature, including Genocide in 1981 and The Long Way Home in 1997. The deal covers home video, digital, television and non-theatrical rights in the US and all digital rights in Canada.

Fight of the Living Dead first up for Cinedigm’s Con TV

Cinedigm has acquired Alpine Labs' hybrid competition reality series Fight of the Living Dead, the first original series acquisition for Con TV, Cinedigm’s direct-to-consumer, streaming network targeting Comic Con and pop culture fans. The announcement was made today by Cinedigm executive vice president/digital networks Erick Opeka and Alpine Labs co-founder Kevin Abrams and partner Jamie Denenberg.
