Universal Filmed Entertainment Group, a division of Comcast Corporation, and AMC Entertainment Holdings have announced a multi-year agreement giving AMC exclusive rights to Universal Pictures and Focus Features theatrical releases for at least three weekends or 17 days, after which the studio will have the option to make its titles available across premium video on demand platforms, including through AMC Theatres On Demand.

CineAsia 2020, set to be held December 7-10 in Bangkok, Thailand, has been cancelled by the Film Expo Group. According to the group’s official announcement, “Given ongoing uncertainty over the COVID-19 pandemic and taking into account travel restrictions by governments as well as employers, we feel this is the prudent decision.”
IMAX today expanded its longstanding partnership with Wanda Cinema in China by signing a 20-theatre agreement. Under the deal, Wanda will upgrade to IMAX with Laser technology at ten of its top-grossing IMAX locations and install ten IMAX systems at new locations throughout the country.
