Kionte Storey Documentary Supports Wounded Warriors

Those who serve our country do so by choice and with courage and honor. When wounded servicemen and women are forced to return home long before they are ready, many end up feeling like they no longer serve a purpose and struggle with day-to-day living. When Marine Corporal Kionte Storey lost his leg and suffered other injuries during his second tour of duty in Afghanistan, he made a conscious choice upon his return home that he would not only overcome his injuries, but also help and inspire other soldiers to overcome theirs as well.

Modern VideoFilm Sends The Invitation to SXSW

Continuing its support for quality independent films, Modern VideoFilm provided post-production services for The Invitation in advance of its world premiere at this month’s SXSW Film Festival. The facility’s role comprised editorial conforming, final color grading, technical support and deliverables, the latter including a Digital Cinema Package master for the festival screening.

This one-time event is often celebrated as the new norm. But in truth, it is anything but normal. Consider the distribution challenges of just one movie – last year’s The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies – and you’ll begin to understand what I mean. Diversity is already returning to the cinema footprint. To best live with it, we need better tools to manage it. To do that, we need to fix the digital cinema package.
