TIFF Using Christie Projection for 16th Year

Taking place from September 8-18, the Toronto International Film Festival garners worldwide attention annually, as it screens almost 400 feature films and shorts, hosts 20 galas and attracts a galaxy of stars. For the 16th consecutive year Christie is the festival’s sponsor and official digital projection partner.

Four TIFF Films Supported by LipSync Post

Native Cinema Showcase Begins August 16

The Smithsonian's National Museum of the American Indian will present the 16th annual Native Cinema Showcase, the museum's premier film event, during the week of August 16–21 in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The showcase runs in conjunction with the Southwestern Association for Indian Arts Santa Fe Indian Market, the largest juried show of Native fine art in the world

Venice International Film Festival Selects GetD for 3D Screenings

For the first time, GetD 3D will supply its cinema systems and glasses for the 73rd Venice International Film Festival, taking place August 31 through September 10. The Venice International Film Festival is the oldest of its kind founded in 1932. 3D projection has become a tradition for many years and the organizers will have another promising line up in 2016.

IFP Week Makes Moves

After 37 years in Manhattan, the Independent Filmmaker Project’s Film Week is moving across the river to Brooklyn. The event will set up shop in DUMBO anchored around its headquarters, the Made in NY Media Center By IFP. Film Week will run September 17-22. The IFP has also expanded to support television, digital, web, virtual reality and app-based series at its upcoming IFP Film Week. Series showrunners and creators will take part in the IFP Project Forum, the only international co-production market in the U.S. featuring stories for all platforms
