The Ymagis Group has signed new virtual print fee agreements under the third-party collector-financing model with six major Turkish cinema exhibitor chains. The deals represent 409 screens in 50 cinema sites operated by Turkey’s Avsar Sinema, Cinemarine, Cinens Sinemalari, Prestige Cinema, Aksin Sinemari and Torunlar/Cinetech.

AEG-owned Regal Cinemas L.A. Live Stadium 14, home to the first and only 4DX-equipped theatre in the United States, says it has tripled its revenue in the first year using CJ 4DPlex technology. The 104-seat 4DX auditorium at Regal Cinemas L.A. Live has achieved $1.52 million in revenue attracting 70,000 attendees since opening last year, representing an increase of 88 percent in attendance versus the previous 12 months in the same auditorium prior to the conversion. AMC Theatres and Dolby Laboratories today announced Dolby Cinema at AMC Prime, a premium cinema offering for moviegoers that makes features Dolby Vision laser projection and Dolby Atmos sound, as well as AMC Prime power reclining seats with seat transducers that vibrate with the action on screen.
Screenvision today announced a new, long-term agreement with its second largest exhibitor partner, Marcus Theatres that will secure 685 additional screens throughout the country including the Chicago, Milwaukee and Minneapolis DMAs. In addition to this agreement, Screenvision recently secured an agreement with Reading International, strengthening a roster of other just announced long-term deals that include Allen Theatres, B&B Theatres, Bow Tie Cinemas, Classic Cinemas, Malco Theatres and Regency Theatres; these deals total over 2,250 screens nationwide, many of which are in top DMAs such as New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago. With these eight new contracts, Screenvision’s network has never been more secure, with the average contract length now over nine years.
