The CineTransformer is equipped with a compact, DCI-complaint Barco DP2K-10S projector.

Cinemeccanica to Demo Digital 3D Laser Projection at Euromax 2015

Italian cinema projector technology company, Cinemeccanica, and Euromax, the European Association for Giant Screen and Documentary Cinema, have announced a significant partnership and demonstration of Digital Laser Projection on the Giant Screen at the 2015 Euromax Meeting. This year’s event will be hosted by giant screen theatre venue, La Géode, Paris, from June 7-9 and will feature the European premiere of many new giant screen films. The annual Euromax meeting attracts professionals from the industries of Giant Screen Cinema, Technology, and 3D documentary cinema.

SMPTE Leads Advancing Industry

The Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers made an impact at the 2015 NAB Show with broad representation across exhibition floors and conference sessions. Accomplice Media’s directing team Sherpas Cinema collaborated with The Richards Group and Jeep on a new campaign launching the 2015 Jeep Renegade across North America. For the campaign’s 60-second launch spot, Sherpas Cinemas’ Eric Crosland captured the epic adventure of a band traveling America in search of musical stardom. Featuring Brooklyn indie rockers X Ambassadors and their original song Renegades, the spot debuted on the iHeartRadio Music Awards show.

Screenvision’s Upfront Theme: Get into the Movies

Screenvision’s experiential upfront event, entitled Get into the Movies, took the company’s annual presentation out of the expected movie theater setting and into the transformed Skylight at Moynihan Station. To demonstrate the unrivaled impact that only cinema advertising can deliver, Screenvision invited audience members to physically become a part of the movies and interact with three working movie production sets filled with actors, directors, and crew. It was Screenvision’s first upfront since the government rejected National CinemaMedia’s attempt to merge the two companies and the mood was decidedly upbeat.
