Unique Digital has expanded its Movie Transit Network to include the cinemas of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. Directed from Unique Digital’s local office in Vilnius, Unique Digital has deployed the Movie Transit network for feature film delivery in all three Baltic countries in a rollout conducted in less than two months.
The Swedish Film Institute, Stockholm, today announced their decision to share and distribute their vast library of classic Swedish films for cinema audiences in partnership with Unique Digital’s Movie Transit network. The Swedish Film Heritage, consisting of more than 8,600 titles, is currently being digitized by the Swedish Film Institute to make selected features available to Swedish cinema audiences everywhere. Utilizing the Movie Transit Network, Swedish Cinema goers will now be able to experience classics such as Körkarlen (1921) by Victor Sjöström, Såsom I en spegel (1961) by Ingmar Bergman, Amorosa (1986) by Mai Zetterling, and Resan till Melonia (1989) by Per Åhlin.
Ymagis Group and Helios today announced an agreement for the deployment of content delivery technologies at Helios multiplexes across Poland. Under the terms of the agreement, the entire Helios cinema circuit (206 screens, 37 sites) is set to be equipped with Ymagis Group’s proprietary electronic receiver equipment before the end of March.
Movio has signed Vue Entertainment for its Movio Cinemaplatform. Vue is part of Vue International, one of the largest cinema groups outside the United States. Implementation will begin in February at all Vue cinema locations in England and Ireland. Sarah Lewthwaite, Movio’s strategic partnerships director for the EMEA Region, and Dominic Rowell, commercial director at Vue, made the announcement.

Ymagis today reported its consolidated revenue figures for the fourth quarter of 2015. For the quarter, the group’s revenue amounted to €51.6 million, an increase of 20.7 percent compared to the fourth quarter of 2014. For the 2015 fiscal year, the company generated cumulated revenue of €157.7 million, an increase of 86.4 percent over the prior year period on a reported basis, and an increase of 4.8 percent over the 2014 fiscal year pro forma.

The transaction, which will complete on January 4, 2016, will see Vista owning 50 percent equity and will further fuel Share Dimension’s strong ambitions for the coming years.
