PVR Cinemas has selected GDC Technology to monitor its digital cinema equipment and automated systems for the entire circuit. When completed, this will be the largest circuit-wide rollout of the company’s comprehensive theatre management system and technology intelligent network operations center software.
Santikos Entertainment has extended its five-year strategic partnership with GDC Technology by signing a new agreement to install GDC integrated media blocks in conjunction with its transition to all-laser projection. Under the agreement, GDC Technology will deploy a total of 70 units of its SX-3000 Integrated Media Block with Enterprise Storage Plus, which provides 4TB of storage, with laser phosphor projectors.
Fathom Events has named seasoned film critic and sports and entertainment correspondent, Ben Lyons, as the official host of Fathom Events. Hellerstedt), a new documentary, Trapped, follows the struggles of the clinic workers and lawyers who are on the front lines of a battle to keep abortion safe and legal for millions of American women. The movie premieres April 25 as part of the Big Sky Film Festival in Montana.

Cinema Equipment and Supplies has announced two new milestones in its partnership with Multicines, the second largest theater circuit in Ecuador. Starting this month, CE+S will start the rollout of their cloud-based, remote monitoring and technical support platform Cielo, and will begin the network-wide deployment of Unique Digital’s RosettaBridge TMS. In addition Multicines will be utilizing Unique Digital’s estate management solution RosettaNet as well as Basekey KDM delivery service.
