Swagath Cinemas Installs 14-Meter Samsung Onyx LED Screen
Samsung and Harman have installed one of the world’s largest Onyx Cinema LED screens in India’s tech capital Bengaluru at the iconic Swagath Cinemas, which will now be rechristened Swagath Onyx Theatre. The screen measures 14 meters. Globally, there are only two other 14-meter Onyx Cinema LED screens installed to date, in Malaysia and China.
PVR to Install D-Box Motion Seats in Mumbai, Delhi-NCR
D-Box Technologies and PVR Cinemas have reached an agreement for the addition of more than 400 D-Box motion seats in four locations in Mumbai and Delhi-NCR. The installation is scheduled to start next fall in nine auditoriums and will include the company’s basic motion seat and recliner motion seats.

PVR Cinemas To Upgrade 150 Screens with Cinionic Barco Projection
PVR Cinemas, one of the largest film exhibition companies in India, today signed an agreement with Cinionic, the Barco cinema joint venture, to upgrade 150 screens at both new and existing PVR properties with Barco’s 2K, 4K and Flagship Laser projection within 12 to 18 months.

Vettri Installs India’s First Christie RGB Laser Projector
Vettri Theatres has become the first cinema in India to be equipped with a Christie CP4325-RGB RealLaser cinema projector. Located in Chennai, Vettri Theatres is one of the most prominent cinemas in the city’s Chrompet district with a single-screen auditorium featuring ergonomic cushion seats, three-way stage speakers and eye-catching interiors.
