This weekend Regal moviegoers will be able to experience another Moviebill, this time tailor-made for Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment’s Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. This new edition is exclusive to Regal moviegoers who attend the opening weekend of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, in theaters on June 22.
Cineworld, the U.K.’s largest cinema operator, has acquired Regal, one of the largest theatre circuits in the U.S., for a reported $5.9 billion. The deal would create the world’s second-largest movie theater owner and enable Cineworld to better compete with AMC Entertainment, which is owned by the Chinese conglomerate Dalian Wanda. The Cineworld-Regal combination would create a company with more than 9,500 screens in 10 countries.
Regal Entertainment Group will add the 4DX immersive cinema experience to 17 additional screens in the U.S. by the end of 2018. This will include the installation of 4DX seating in Orlando, Florida and Seattle, Washington within the next few months.
