The Cinema Audio Society announced its nominees in seven categories for the 61st Annual CAS Awards for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Mixing 2024. The ceremonies will be held February 22 at the Beverly Hilton.

Company 3 has opened a Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos equipped theatre at its facilities in New York. It is the first theatre of its kind at any post-production company on the East Coast. Blazing Griffin, a BAFTA-winning games, post-production, film, and TV production facility based in Glasgow has installed an Alcons pro ribbon system for its high-end film mixing room. It’s the first Alcons mix room in Scotland and also the first installation of an Alcons CRMSC Compact Cinema Reference Monitor System in the United Kingdom.
The Motion Picture Sound Editors association today announced the nominees for the 71st Annual MPSE Golden Reel Awards. Nominees represent the work of the world’s most talented sound artists and their contributions to the past year’s most outstanding feature film, television, animation, computer entertainment, and student productions.
The Motion Picture Sound Editors trade group has elected David Barber, MPSE, to a two-year term as president. Barber succeeds Mark Lanza, MPSE, who reached his term limit. Additionally, Miguel Araujo was re-elected as secretary, while Eric Marks was appointed to fill Barber’s previous post as vice president on an interim basis until the next board election in October. Chris Reeves and Solange Schwalbe continue in their roles as treasurer and sergeant at arms, respectively.
Storyline Studios is a Scandinavian film production company that offers camera rentals, editing, effects, sound design and more in Norway, Sweden and Denmark.
