Strong Technical Services has launched the Strong Restart Initiative and will deploy ten free BrightNight Drive-In packages across the United States. Each package is equipped with the company’s Preview and Northview products, which consist of a mobile projection trailer and a 40-foot by 20-foot inflatable screen.
This week, the Motion Picture Sound Editors will present George Miller with its annual Filmmaker Award, the organization’s highest honor. The Australian director is being recognized for a diverse body of work that includes Happy Feet (an Academy Award-winner for Best Animated Feature), Babe: A Pig in the City and Lorenzo’s Oil, as well as Mad Max and its three sequels. Miller has called his masterpiece, Mad Max: Fury Road, “A movie we see with our ears.”
Located in Long Beach, California, the nonprofit Aquarium of the Pacific is Southern California’s largest aquarium and the fourth largest aquarium in the United States. The aquarium includes 12,000 animals and more than 100 exhibits that celebrate the inhabitants and ecosystems of the Pacific Ocean. In 2019, the aquarium opened Pacific Visions, a 29,000 square foot, two-story expansion that includes an art gallery, orientation gallery, culmination gallery, and the Honda Pacific Visions Theatre, the centerpiece of the aquarium’s 2019 expansion.

The highly visually driven film, Bliss was no exception. A science fiction drama, it stars Owen Wilson as Greg and Salma Hayek as Isabel. The story is set around a man whose life is in disarray when he meets a beautiful woman who tries to convince him he is living in a simulation.

A fully remote company since its inception, Legion efficiently created a mix of complex photorealistic effects for the comedic road trip.
NCG Cinema today unveiled their 26th location in the United States, a brand new, eight-screen theatre in Alton, Illinois. The theatre is one of the first new theatres to be constructed and open in the country following the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown. The new NCG Cinema Alton is designed with more than 850 ultra-plush luxury recliners and the Dolby Digital Sound experience.
Following its Netflix launch in January, Fate: The Winx Saga, the live-action TV adaptation of Nickelodeon’s animated series Winx Club quickly shot to number one in the U.S. and number three in the U.K. Cinematographer Frida Wendel FSF shot the series. As Wendell put it, one of her considerations during the live action shoot was how to play around with the visual effects.
