CJ CGV Signs Four-Theatre Agreement with IMAX in Turkey
IMAX and CJ CGV today announced a sales agreement for four new IMAX theatres to be added to existing and new multiplexes in Turkey. The theatres will be operated by CJ CGV subsidiary, Mars Entertainment Group, operator of the largest cinema circuit in Turkey. The agreement brings to 133 the exhibitor’s total IMAX commitment with theatres in South Korea, China, Vietnam and Turkey.
Eros Reaches Five Million Subscriber Mark
The Indian film entertainment company Eros International announced today that Eros Now, its digital over-the-top South Asian entertainment platform has reached 80 million registered users and five million paying subscribers worldwide. CJ 4DPlex Claims Record Setting Box Office 2017
CJ 4DPlex says it finished 2017 with record gross box office and attendance for its 4DX immersive seating cinema format. Additionally, the company says, more new 4DX locations opened in 2017 than any other year, reaching 475 locations worldwide.
