The Post New York Alliance has appointed the New York City-based creative production and post studio Nice Shoes to its board. The Motion Picture Sound Editors association today announce that it will honor Ron Howard with its annual Filmmaker Award. The Academy Award-winning director and producer is responsible for some of the most memorable films of the past four decades including the critically acclaimed, Oscar-winning dramas A Beautiful Mind and Apollo 13, and the hit comedies Parenthood and Splash. The Colorist Society has named Mark Todd Osborne to its board of directors. Osborne is a Los Angeles-based senior colorist with more than 200 film and television credits. As a board member, he will be involved governing, managing, and planning for the organization. He will also act as an ambassador for CSI to other industry organizations and the wider professional community. Osborne joins Kevin Shaw, president; Sarah Priestnall, vice president; and Hugh Heinsohn, secretary/treasurer, on the CSI board.
The Motion Picture Sound Editors association has elected Mark Lanza to a two-year term as president. Additionally, David Barber has been elected to a two-year term as secretary, a position he has held on an interim basis for the past year.
