Gunpowder & Sky Distribution has acquired Rob Meyer’s Little Boxes, with a theatrical release set for April 14th. Written by Annie J. Howell, Little Boxes stars Melanie Lynskey (Togetherness), Nelsan Ellis (Get On Up), Armani Jackson (The Last Witch Hunter), Oona Laurence (Broadway’s Matilda), and Janeane Garofalo. It's the summer before sixth grade, and Clark (Jackson) is the new biracial kid in a very white town.

Qube Cinema has introduced Qube Wire, an online digital cinema distribution service designed to eliminate the process of physical digital cinema package transportation. Targeted at the international filmmaking community, Qube Wire offers users a secure, patent-pending service to issue key delivery messages and digitally transport DCPs to theatres globally, having completed a highly successful beta-testing phase in India this year. Now in its initial launch, the service offers a simple and secure online way of issuing KDMs to cinemas worldwide. This will be followed by a commercial launch in early 2017 that will enable the global distribution of DCPs with a unique approach to last-mile delivery.
