Imax China today named Daniel Manwaring as its chief executive officer, effective January 9, 2023. He succeeds interim CEO Jiande Chen, who will return to his full-time role as vice chairman of Imax China.

The award-winning visual effects studio Milk is opening a new studio in Bordeaux, France in January 2023. Leading the creative team and head of studio will be Milk VFX supervisor Andy Morley, who has been operating out of France for the last year. The Motion Picture Sound Editors will honor two-time Academy Award-nominated supervising sound editor Gwendolyn Yates Whittle with its 2023 Career Achievement Award.
