Jeanette and Tony Levine, the founders of Spotlight Cinema Advertising in Perth, Australia, are retiring and turning over the business to media professional Erin Pitchers.
Jeanette Levine said, “We ventured into cinema advertising 27 years ago and have seen cinema advertising technology evolve from glass slides to 35mm and now on to digital. During our journey we have had the privilege of working alongside industry stalwarts and passionate movie buffs that have captivated our hearts and made the journey an enjoyable and exciting challenge.”
Ken Gibbons at Telethon Community Cinemas has worked with Spotlight for years and said, “It has been an absolute pleasure to have had Spotlight, Jeanette and Tony working to do their best and beyond to achieve a significant outcome for us. Their advertising support has helped hundreds, if not thousands, of kids have access to programs that have enabled them to improve their quality of life. That is not a bad legacy to have.”
Jeanette Levine added, “We are delighted to say that Spotlight Cinema Advertising remains open for business and after spending a great deal of time finding the right person to pass the baton on to, we found that person in Erin Pitchers. With her in-depth, proven knowledge of the industry and her passion for cinema, we leave the business with a bright future ahead.”
Pitchers said, “I’m so grateful for the opportunity to carry on Jeanette and Tony’s legacy of championing independent cinema and its mission to support local community and culture, all while helping brands come to life on the big screen.”
