Showcase Cinemas UK has announced that the Doctor Who season finale, The Legend of Ruby Sunday & Empire of Death, will be screening at cinemas across Great Britain on June 21.
The two-part season finale, featuring Ncuti Gatwa as The Doctor, will begin screening at 11:00 pm, with showrunner Russel T. Davies stating that the finale is set to be one of the scariest and most shocking episodes yet.
With decades of planning behind it, this is a culmination of storytelling unlike anything seen before in Doctor Who history, he said.
James Dobbin, event cinema director at Showcase Cinemas said, “We are delighted to bring the season finale of Doctor Who to the big screen this June. The TV show is much-loved across the country and beyond, so we’re really excited to be able to give fans the chance to watch it on the big screen.
“Tickets for the two-part screening are available now, so Whovians will need to act fast if they want to watch The Doctor at their nearest Showcase Cinema.”
