In Mumbai, PVR Inox is set to open its first standalone Imax with Laser theatre at Inox Eros in Churchgate. The renovated cinema will have a seating capacity of 305.
Eros, Mumbai's premier flagship destination, has been a landmark in South Mumbai for more than 80 years. Originating in the 1930s, Eros has hosted numerous star-studded gala openings and continues to attract the affluent Mumbai consumer. The redevelopment plan for Eros includes the restoration of its facade to reinstating its former opulence and redesigning internal spaces to accommodate modern retail needs.
Imax with Laser is a 4K laser projection system, using a new optical engine and several exclusive Imax technologies designed to deliver exceptionally clear images, enhanced resolution, deeper contrast, and vibrant colors, immersing viewers in the narrative like never before.
The addition of Inox Eros marks PVR Inox's fifth Imax screen in Mumbai and the twenty-third within its national circuit, underscoring the company's commitment to enhancing Maharashtra's cinematic landscape, with a total of 253 screens across 53 properties in the state.
In Western India, the screen count rises to 346 across 78 properties, reaffirming the brand's dedication to delivering unmatched cinema experiences to audiences throughout the region.
