Ozone Cinema held the grand opening December 1 of its new theatre at the Oyarifa Mall in Ghana.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by members of the Ghana Film Authority, actor, David Dontoh, Kofi Adinkra, Eddie Nartey, Kyei Baffour and other members of the film industry.
The operators of Ozone Cinema have said that one of their top priorities is to promote Ghanaian movies. They said the cinema's commitment to showcasing Ghanaian movies stems from a desire to address the challenges faced by the local film industry.
By providing a dedicated platform for these films, Ozone Cinema aims to encourage audiences to explore and support the rich tapestry of narratives that the Ghanaian film industry has to offer.
The Ghana Film Authority underscored the importance of such initiatives in creating a conducive environment for the growth and sustainability of the Ghanaian movie industry.
Dontoh, whose career spans decades, said efforts like Ozone Cinema’s provide a stage for Ghanaian actors, directors, and producers to showcase their creative prowess.
Ozone Cinema boasts the latest projection and sound technology and plush seats.
