Arts Alliance Media has announced that Screenwriter, the world’s most powerful, widely deployed theatre management system, can now be operated from a tablet device. As exhibitors seek greater operational control and flexibility, this significant Screenwriter update, available exclusively to AAM customers, enables cinema managers to monitor and manage playback and auditorium settings from anywhere in their cinema.

With an intuitive snapshot view of each screen’s content, complete volume and audio channel control, as well as quick cue access for devices like projectors and house lights, users can efficiently oversee live playback on the go; a setup that provides optimal accessibility for emergency scenarios which require immediate action.

“As the TMS with the largest network, it's crucial for us to continually develop Screenwriter’s functional offering and meet our customers’ needs,” explained AAM product director William McMorrow. “With all-new tablet access, users gain an additional layer of usability to further simplify site management.”

Screenwriter is responsible for scheduling features, trailers and advertisements, monitoring screens, and controlling playback for over 45,000 screens worldwide. By automating workflows and managing a theatre’s entire workload from one central hub, exhibitors can build efficiency in operations and enable site-level staff to focus on the experience of their audiences.

AAM CCO said David Ong said, “We strive to deliver solutions that make a tangible difference to the operations of our clients. This latest update will refine content management while strengthening Screenwriter’s position at the forefront of TMS technology.”
