Kinoplex Completes Digital Cinema Rollout with Christie
Kinoplex, Brazil’s largest locally-owned theater chain, has completed its digital cinema deployment in its 220 screens with Christie Solaria Series DCI-compliant, DLP cinema projectors. Kinoplex deployed a wide variety of Christie cinema projectors, due to the huge range of screen sizes and projection distances at its film theatres, including CP2215, CP2220, and CP2230 units that deliver value with reliability and low total cost of ownership.

The company will focus on a combination of innovative cinema solutions, flexible financing and a comprehensive service model enabling exhibitors to focus on engagement with their moviegoers while simplifying their technology and operations.
Russia’s United Cinema Chain Launches Dynamic Pricing
Cinema Park and Formula Kino, Russia’s largest cinema chain with more than 25 million visitors per year, decided to launch dynamic pricing at the three sites: Cinema Park Metropolis, Cinema Park Global City and Cinema Park Mega Belaya Dacha.
Cinépolis Selects AAM for 51 Theatres in India
Cinépolis has selected Arts Alliance Media, global leader in digital cinema software and services, to provide automated scheduling and content management across its entire circuit in India. AAM’s Screenwriter theatre management system and Producer Enterprise TMS software are being deployed in all 273 of Cinépolis’ screens, which span 51 sites across India.
MoviePass, iHeartRadio Announce New Three-Month Subscription Offer
MoviePass and iHeartRadio, the all-in-one digital music, podcasting, on demand and live streaming radio service, today announced a new three-month subscription offer. Available for a limited time for $29.95, it offers new subscribers to both platforms a limited MoviePass membership to see four 2D movies a month for three months and includes a three-month free trial of the iHeartRadio’s All Access on demand feature.
Rampage Released in 4DX, ScreenX Formats
The monster-sized action adventure Rampage is coming to theaters in the 4DX and ScreenX formats. The film, headlined by action superstar Dwayne Johnson, will be released worldwide April 13 from Warner Bros. Pictures.
Flix Brewhouse Partners with MoviePass
MoviePass today announced a partnership with Flix Brewhouse, which calls itself the nation’s only cinema circuit that pairs full service in-theatre dining with an award-winning craft brewery at every location. Started in 2011, Flix Brewhouse is based in Round Rock, Texas and operates locations there as well as in Iowa, Indiana, New Mexico. Its newest theatre, in the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex, is expected to open in April.
AMC Opens New Cinema Era in Saudi Arabia
AMC plans to open Saudi Arabia’s first cinema theatre, in Riyadh, on April 18. It marks the first time a commercial cinema theatre has opened in the country in nearly four decades. Reports say the first movie screened in the Kingdom will be Marvel’s Black Panther. With a population of more than 32 million, the majority under the age of 30, Saudi Arabia is set to become the largest market for moviegoers in the Arabian Gulf region. The Kingdom is set to have nearly 350 cinemas, with more than 2,500 screens, by 2030.
Helios and Matheson Acquires Moviefone
Helios and Matheson Analytics has acquired Moviefone, the entertainment service that serves more than six million people monthly. HMNY is the majority owner of MoviePass.
