Kinema, which calls itself a cinematic experience platform, has expanded its film library to a total of more than 60 new titles. New partners include Magnolia Pictures, Greenwich Entertainment, Abramorama, Cargo Releasing, Frameline, Film Movement and Well Go USA. The rollout of the new titles, all of which have experienced global film festival recognition and critically acclaimed industry reviews, will continue this summer into the late fall.
Spotlight Cinema Networks announced today that Look Dine-In Cinemas has joined its exhibitor network and that Spotlight will serve as its exclusive cinema advertising sales representative. According to Spotlight, the partnership with an innovator of in-theatre dining, Brian Schultz, reinforces its position as the cinema advertising leader in reaching the 21+ adult demographic through its nationwide network of art houses, luxury, and dine-in exhibitors.
Trafalgar Releasing and Anthem Entertainment are bringing Rush: Cinema Strangiato - Director's Cut to select movie theatres worldwide on September 9. The film brings Rush – Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson, and Neil Peart – and Rush fans together in movie theatres once again.
Cinema advertising networks National CineMedia and Screenvision Media today shared the results of the companies’ first joint research effort, a survey assessing the impact of the COVID-19 Delta variant on movie fans and their movie-going outlook. The survey of 1,311 moviegoers conducted July 29-August 2 revealed that 79 percent of moviegoers are not overly concerned about the new Delta variant and 87 percent of moviegoers have seen a movie in the theater this year and the same percentage plan on going to the movie theater between now and the end of this year.

GDC will feature its award-winning Espedo Supra-5000 RGB Plus Laser Phosphor Cinema Projector at CinemaCon 2021, which is being held August 23-26 at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada. The company will have a mini-theatre in Milano Ballroom III, located on the Promenade level.
Classic Cinemas is a family-owned business, founded in 1978 and based in Downers Grove, Illinois. Today the Johnson family operates 15 locations and 130 screens. Many of those locations were acquired by Classic Cinemas in a state of disrepair and were meticulously restored to their original splendor while updating to the latest technology. The family belongs to several preservation societies, including the Theatre Historical Society. The company received the Landmark Illinois Richard H. Driehaus Foundation Preservation Award for Stewardship in 2011. Their newest location, the Meadowview in Kankakee, Illinois, is a newly expanded seven screen movie theatre with luxury heated recliner seats, 7.1 surround sound, and 4K digital projection. The Meadowview expansion was supervised by TK Architects International, which is headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri. Online criminals who offer stolen movies, TV shows, games, and live events through websites and apps are reaping $1.34 billion in annual advertising revenues – including from some of the most iconic global companies, according to new research from the Digital Citizens Alliance and White Bullet. The research found that ads for Amazon, Facebook, and Google accounted for 73 percent of all major brands advertising that appeared frequently on piracy apps during the year investigation. However, there is a recent significant decline in Amazon ads showing up on piracy websites and apps. This demonstrates that the issue can be addressed when a brand makes it a priority.
Mark Christiansen, executive vice president of worldwide distribution operations at Paramount Pictures, will receive the ShowEast Salah M. Hassanein Humanitarian Award. He will be presented with the honor as part of the Final Night Awards Ceremony on November 11 at the Loews Miami Beach.
