Australian exhibitor Hoyts has purchased and undisclosed number of Christies’ newly introduced CP4325-RGB pure laser cinema projector. Doetzkies brings nearly two decades of cinema technology experience to NEC where he will be responsible for supporting the global company — including Japan, America, and Europe — in its cinema business and technology development. His duties will include alliance/partner management, industry standards management, building relationships within the movie studio community and supporting global sales and marketing.
Post-production finishing for season six of TNT’s police drama Major Crimes is currently underway at MTI Film, continuing a relationship that began with the show’s debut in 2012. The facility faces tight deadlines and significant technical and creative hurdles in delivering each of 13 episodes included in the current season.

Making a film for the first time is a challenge enough in itself, but post-production can sometimes be even more daunting. But when it came to post-production, it was a complete nightmare until we brought the show to AlphaDogs. We tried to get by cheap and skip using a professional post house, only to find out these freelance colorists and audio mixers have no clue as to what they are doing.”
