HPA Opens Call for Young Entertainment Professionals Class of 2021

Applications are open for the 2021 class of Hollywood Professional Association’s Young Entertainment Professionals program. For five years, the YEP program has connected ambitious and talented creative, technical, project management and administrative professionals between the ages of 21 and 32 with mentors and educational offerings that accelerate their professional development. Applications are due Monday, October 12, and applicants will be notified of their status in mid-November. The 2021 YEP class will begin in January 2021.

Production Resumes in New York City

When New York City began Phase 4 reopening of its economy, it paved the way for the resumption of film and television production under restrictions designed to forestall the spread of coronavirus. Productions must implement testing, apply rigorous cleaning measures and practice social distancing. But the good news is, the city is back in the business of making films and television shows.

Colorist Groups Partner on New Award

The Colorist Society International is joining the Independent Colourist Guild as partner and co-organizer of the newly launched Colorist Awards. The first-ever international competition focused exclusively on the craft of color, the event recognizes outstanding work by colorists across feature films, television, documentaries, commercials, music videos and shorts. Entries are being accepted now through December 31 for work first appearing in 2020. Winners will be announced in March.
