Toho Cinemas Installs Cinionic Laser Projection in Tachikawa Location

Toho Cinemas has selected Cinionic laser cinema projection for its new Tachikawa location, which opened in September. The theatre is the first Cinionic laser site for Toho Cinemas, one of Japan’s largest exhibitors with more than 679 screens across 72 locations and will include Barco Series 4 and Barco Smart laser units.

The theatre is the first Cinionic laser site for Toho Cinemas, one of Japan’s largest exhibitors with more than 679 screens across 72 locations and will include Barco Series 4 and Barco Smart laser units.This announcement expands Cinionic’s presence in Japan, the fourth largest film market in the world. Toho Cinemas joins exhibitors worldwide turning to Cinionic laser solutions as today’s leading cinema technology, benefitting from simpler operations, cost-savings, and reduced environmental impact. Cinionic has the leading portfolio of cinema solutions, with more than 90,000 projectors installed globally, including more than 20,000 laser projectors in the field.
