Film fans in the United Kingdom can celebrate the release of the highly anticipated Dune: Part Two by watching the sequel back-to-back alongside the first instalment at Showcase Cinemas nationwide.
Cinemagoers will be able to view the first Dune at 9:00 pm on February 29, before being among the first in the UK to set eyes on part two with a special 12.01am screening March of Dune: Part Two. The combined films total more than five hours of action.
Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Zendaya and Josh Brolin all reprise their roles from the first film, with Austin Butler, Florence Pugh and Christopher Walken joining the star-studded cast for the sequel.
Picking up after the events of Dune, Paul Atreides (Chalamet) unites with Chani (Zendaya) and the Fremen while seeking revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family.
Jon Dixon, UK marketing director at Showcase Cinemas said, “Dune: Part Two is undoubtedly set to be one of the biggest blockbusters of the year, and we know there are many film fans who can’t wait to see it.
“As such, we wanted to give cinemagoers the opportunity to watch both instalments back-to-back on the big screen. It’s the perfect opportunity for guests to refresh their mind on the events of the previous film, or for those who might not have seen the first instalment to get up to speed before viewing the sequel.”
