Red Digital Cinema has released the new V-Raptor [X] 8K VV and V-Raptor XL [X] 8K VV cameras with Red Global Vision. Sony Announces New Plans for Ci Media Cloud

The Advanced Imaging Society has announced that its inaugural Distinguished Artist Award will be bestowed upon Jeffrey Wright recognizing his commanding performance in American Fiction. The 2024 Lumiere Awards ceremony will take place February 9 at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
Creating the End of the World
Phosphene, the award-winning visual effects and design studio, served as the principal visual effects house for FX’s critically acclaimed mystery series A Murder at the End of the World. Created, written, and directed by Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij, A Murder at the End of the World centers on a Gen Z amateur sleuth, Darby Hart (Emma Corrin), who is working to solve a murder at a secluded luxury hotel in Iceland during a furious snowstorm. The series also stars Clive Owen, Harris Dickinson, Alice Braga, and Marling, herself.
John Waters to Receive Golden Eddie Filmmaker of the Year Award
The American Cinema Editors, honorary society of motion picture editors, which was founded in 1950, will honor filmmakers John Waters with its Golden Eddie Filmmaker of the Year Award. The statue recognizes “an artist who exemplifies distinguished achievement in the art and business of film.”

Cinépolis is deploying Unique X’s MovieTransit network in Mexico. All 6,821 Cinépolis screens throughout Mexico will be connected. This multi-year agreement marks the roll out of Unique X’s electronic network for fast, efficient and reliable delivery of feature film and trailer content to all Cinépolis locations across Mexico, increasing the number of connected sites to nearly 800 in the territory and 3,500 worldwide.
