Veteran supervising sound editor and sound designer George H. Anderson has joined Sony Pictures Post Production Services. Anderson brings a deep and varied resume in sound with more than 75 credits in film and television. He has completed several recent projects at Sony Pictures, including Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping, Pee-wee’s Big Holiday and Trainwreck.
The Los Angeles Greek Film Festival has announced that it will honor Twentieth Century Fox chairman & CEO Jim Gianopulos during the Sunday, June 5 Orpheus Awards at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood. Gianopulos will be feted alongside previously announced fellow Orpheus honoree Academy Award winning actor J.K. Simmons. The awards will be hosted by American Horror Story star Mena Suvari.

Veteran visual effects producer Chad Hudson, whose credits include The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones, has joined FuseFX. Based at the company’s Los Angeles facility, Hudson becomes part of a diverse production team that is creating effects for Fox’s Sleepy Hollow and pilots for CBS and Amazon, as well as other upcoming television projects.
Ken Roupenian has joined Digital Doman as vice president, Digital Studio. He will be responsible for the company’s creative teams globally, and will report to Digital Domain executive vice president/general manager, Erika Burton.
The Big Sky Documentary Film Institute is hiring a festival producer for the 2017 Big Sky Documentary Film Festival. The Big Sky Documentary Film Festival is the largest annual festival of non-fiction film in the American West. The festival draws an audience of 20,000 and film entries from every corner of the globe, with 150 non-fiction films screened and well over 100 visiting artists attending. This position will commence in July and go through early March 2017. The festival producer is responsible for planning, managing and overseeing the successful production of the annual 10-day festival happening in February.
