Historic Brisbane Theatre Reopens with Christie Technology

Christie Solaria Series projectors and Christie Vive Audio cinema systems have been installed in a newly opened cineplex located in New Farm, a trendy inner-city suburb of Brisbane. Known as New Farm Cinemas, the complex houses six auditoriums that are color-themed with each theater catered for different purposes and clientele.

Southern Theatres Opens New Movie Tavern

Southern Theatres has completed its second all Christie entertainment complex, at the new Southern Theatres Movie Tavern 8 in Covington, Louisiana. The eight-screen cinema eatery has Christie Solaria Series projectors and Christie Vive Audio cinema systems.

AAM Technology now Integrates with USL’s LSS-100 Quality Control Probe

Arts Alliance Media has announced that its Screenwriter Theatre Management System and Lifeguard Network Operations Centre software products are now fully integrated with USL’s LSS-100 Quality Control Probe, allowing exhibitors to measure multiple environmental factors in their cinemas. Integration with AAM’s software now allows testing to be started automatically in a screen, with results monitored and tracked over time to identify issues before playback, avoiding missed shows and revenue loss.

CineArt, Brazil, Selects Doremi IMS1000 for VPF Rollout

CineArt Multiplex, the leading exhibitor in Minas Gerais, the second largest state in Brazil has chosen the Doremi IMS1000 integrated media server for its digital cinema transition. The contractual agreement between Doremi and CineArt includes 32 units to be added to the total install base of 41 servers. Quanta DGT is the virtual print fee integrator; CineBrasil is the service provider.

Screenvision’s Friday Pre-Show to Feature Exclusive E3 Preview

According to at least one survey more than 53 percent of Americans play video games, yet only a small fraction of those make it to the gaming industry’s main event – the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). This Friday, Screenvision will debut exclusive content from E3 within its network of more than 14,200 movie theatre screens during its Front & Center pre-show. The content will feature a sneak peek of the groundbreaking technology that will be available to moviegoers later this year, including interviews with industry leaders like Dell Alienware, Ubisoft and Disney Interactive.
