According to at least one survey more than 53 percent of Americans play video games, yet only a small fraction of those make it to the gaming industry’s main event – the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). This Friday, Screenvision will debut exclusive content from E3 within its network of more than 14,200 movie theatre screens during its Front & Center pre-show. The content will feature a sneak peek of the groundbreaking technology that will be available to moviegoers later this year, including interviews with industry leaders like Dell Alienware, Ubisoft and Disney Interactive.

“Our Front & Center pre-show has been at the forefront of bringing moviegoers access to upcoming film and music content. To complement this content, we have broadened our lens to cover a bigger slice of pop culture, including gaming and technology,” said John McCauley, EVO, CMO and strategic alliances, Screenvision. “With more than 50 percent of our audience being comprised of millennials, it just makes sense to provide programming for the things they interact with in their day-to-day lives.”

“We are excited to be featured within Screenvision’s E3 in-cinema program,” said Frank Azor, general manager, Dell Alienware. “Through exclusive content on a 40-foot screen, we’re able to connect to our core audience of gamers as a very natural part of the Screenvision pre-show.”

The program is hosted by popular TV personality Jessica Chobot, who needs no introduction in the gaming community. Chobot is best known for her work with IGN Entertainment and is the current host of Nerdist News.  Of the decision to partner with Chobot, McCauley said, “We felt that it was important to have an engaging, fun and credible host, who is well connected to the gaming space. “

“Being on the show floor is always a rush, so I’m very excited to be a part of bringing this content to people all over the country who can’t be there in person,” said Chobot.

This programming is a continuation of Screenvision’s efforts aimed at bringing moviegoers inside access to the big industry trade shows, which are not accessible to the general public. Earlier this year, Screenvision captured exclusive content from the Consumer Electronics Show with host Shelly Palmer from Fox Television’s Shelly Palmer Digital Living. Palmer met with leading technology companies to discuss the latest innovations, products and future-forward statements.

The programming was produced by Screenvision’s new creative group 40 Foot Solutions, which focuses on creating entertainment packages, developing branded content, as well as creating graphics and animation packages that amplify a brand’s presence in the company’s new Front & Center pre-show.
