Screenvision Sports Announces Deal with the Boston Celtics

Screenvision Sports today announced a new relationship with the Boston Celtics to serve as the team's exclusive in-venue media sales partner. The deal enables SV Sports to engage national brands via available inventory on the center-hung videoboard at TD Garden, as well as the videoboard at the Portland Expo, home to the Maine Celtics of the NBA G League.

Screenvision, ESPAT TV Announce Deal

Screenvision Media has announced a partnership with eSports and gaming production company ESPAT TV. Under the terms of the deal, details of which were not disclosed, ESPAT will produce and distribute gaming-related content across Screenvision’s in-cinema and SV Sports networks. ESPAT TV will create original content including trailers for AAA game titles that will be shown in theatres during the biggest theatrical releases for the remainder of 2021 and into 2022.

Göteborg Film Festival Returning with Live Screening

The Nordic region's largest film festival is happy to return to the cinemas in Göteborg next year. Due to the pandemic, the 2021 edition of Göteborg Film Festival became a digital event. The digital edition turned out to be a great audience success with visitors from all over the country. Therefore, Göteborg Film Festival 2022 will show films both in cinemas and online from January 28 through February 6, 2022.

EGA Finds Localization Issues Hampering Creative Community

The Entertainment Globalization Association has released a report on consumer viewing habits of localized content versions. The EGA, working in part with Whip Media, surveyed more than 15,000 consumers from France, Italy, Germany, and Spain (FIGS) regarding their viewing habits on streaming platforms. The overall findings indicate that 61 percent of respondents encountered poor localization quality on a monthly basis, and perhaps more concerning, that nearly 65 percent have stopped watching a movie or TV show in the last year as a result.
