The cinema marketing and analytics company Usheru has appointed John Donnelly to its board of directors, effective immediately.

The cinema marketing and analytics company Usheru has appointed John Donnelly to its board of directors, effective immediately.Donnelly has worked in the cinema sector for more than 30 years and was responsible for building and operating the first multiplex cinemas in the UK, Ireland and Poland. He also served as managing director for Odeon’s expansion in Eastern Europe and Germany before leading up the acquisition, integration and construction of more 80 cinemas across continental Europe, as operations director for the Odeon group.

Prior to the sale of Odeon to AMC, Donnelly, as the group’s strategic director, led the group’s key transformational programs. In 2018, he joined Dolby Laboratories as business development director and was responsible for the expansion of Dolby cinema in the MEAR region, completing several high-profile deals for Dolby in Russia and the Middle East.
