The Cineworld Group has promoted industry veteran John Curry to senior vice president of commercial of Regal. In this role, Curry will oversee the company’s food and beverage, marketing, box office and forecasting, business development, and loyalty departments.

The American Cinema Editors, honorary society of motion picture editors, which was founded in 1950, will honor filmmakers John Waters with its Golden Eddie Filmmaker of the Year Award. The statue recognizes “an artist who exemplifies distinguished achievement in the art and business of film.”

Omniterm, creator of software solutions for the entertainment industry since 1978, has announced the appointment of Darrin Lewis as its new president, effective January 1. Lewis succeeds Ed Coman, who served as president until Jonas Software acquired the company in April 2021.

The Motion Picture Sound Editors association today announced the nominees for the 71st Annual MPSE Golden Reel Awards. Nominees represent the work of the world’s most talented sound artists and their contributions to the past year’s most outstanding feature film, television, animation, computer entertainment, and student productions.
