Filmlab in Mumbai India part of the PID Group and a leading supplier of creative services to the motion picture industry has announced the formation of a new specialist audio services division. The new division FilmLab Audio will provide a range of sound services from its Mumbai-based head office targeting filmmakers television and radio production companies and musicians. “We are delighted to be announcing Filmlab Audio as our new specialist services division for audio and at the same time to be opening the doors of our new audio suite ” said Sanjay Patel managing director Filmlab. “This fabulous new facility is equipped with advanced digital audio equipment and benefits from a voice-over booth as well as an adjoining recording room. We have also brought in an experienced team of highly creative and knowledgeable sound engineers to work alongside our customers. Together with our DI digital post and film processing services we can now offer customers everything they need for film making and television and music productions.” Filmlab Audio will provide voice-over recording dubbing dub matching sound design music recording and mixing 5.1 pre-mixing and final mixing and film sound restoration. The new division will also offer Datasat/DTS audio encoding. Customers will be able to take advantage of Filmlab’s two DCI-compliant Dolby-certified viewing theatres equipped with 2K and 4K projectors. “Through our continued investment in digital technology we are now well and truly established as one of India’s most advanced digital facilities for all content creators ” said Patel.
