NCG Cinemas today announced a new agreement for three Imax with Laser Systems across the U.S. The deal will expand Imax's existing footprint with NCG Cinemas with two new Imax locations in Tennessee and Georgia as well as an upgraded location in Michigan.
Last month Cinionic announced the debut of its new cinema screen designed for laser-powered auditoriums. The company said the Cinionic Laser Screen 2.4 amplifies the power of laser projection through optimized efficiency and enhanced onscreen movie presentation. AMC Theatres is set to be the first exhibitor to receive the new screens, with nearly two dozen installs planned this year. Cinionic Laser Screen 2.4 is now available in the U.S. and Mexico, with a global rollout planned over the next few months. PVR Inox has announced the opening of its second cinema in Mohali featuring the first P[XL] and all 4K laser cinema in the city of Mohali. TGV Cinemas and Imax Corporation today announced a major expansion of their partnership with seven Imax with Laser systems in Malaysia. The agreement includes four new locations – including two in Kuala Lumpur – and three existing locations, already upgraded.
