And on that same opening weekend, patrons of Regal Cinemas will receive their free copies of the third installment of Moviebill, the marketing brainchild of Concourse Media principals Andrew Felts and Matthew Shreder.

As the digital cinema era enters a new phase, exhibitors are increasingly looking at better ways to directly engage with their customers. Regal Cinema, long an industry leader, seems to have found a particularly interesting one. Concourse Media principals James Andrew Felts and Matthew Shreder announced today a deal with Regal Entertainment Group to distribute Moviebill, an interactive new product that has been crafted to enhance and extend the 21st century movie going experience. The inaugural edition will be announced later this year for a 2018 launch.
AEG-owned Regal Cinemas L.A. Live Stadium 14, home to the first and only 4DX-equipped theatre in the United States, says it has tripled its revenue in the first year using CJ 4DPlex technology. The 104-seat 4DX auditorium at Regal Cinemas L.A. Live has achieved $1.52 million in revenue attracting 70,000 attendees since opening last year, representing an increase of 88 percent in attendance versus the previous 12 months in the same auditorium prior to the conversion. Jurassic World is now playing in the theatre as it celebrates its first anniversary as a 4DX venue.
