Harkness Screens has announced that senior vice president sales & marketing (Asia) Preetham Daniel has taken on new responsibilities in addition to his existing role. As well as managing Harkness’ expansion in Asia, which has seen significant growth, Daniel will focus on supporting Harkness’ global customers and partners. In addition, Chaitanya Patel is joining the Harkness commercial team in Bangalore.
An enhanced version of Severtson Screens’ SAT-4K acoustically transparent cinema projection screen line is now available.
Severtson Screens has announced that new microperf options are now available for its folded SēVision 3D GX line of cinema projection screens.
“Severtson Corporation started in 1986, literally in our house,” said founder Ron Severtson. “Better known now as Severtson Screens, our first job was with Arizona’s Williams Air Force Base in response to the Air Force’s need to find both a quality optical coating and a uniform application process for the interior of their domed flight simulators.”
Severtson Screens will feature its SAT-4K cinema screen line during Kino Expo 2016, held in Saint Petersburg, Russia, from September 19-23 at the Expofurum Congress Center. The SAT-4K is now shipping.

Harkness has installed its Clarus screen at a TOHO Cinemas extra large screen auditorium by TOHO Cinemas at an eight-screen multiplex in Umeda, Osaka, the first site to use a Clarus screen in Japan.
