Cinionic today announced the debut of its new cinema screen designed for laser-powered auditoriums. The Cinionic Laser Screen 2.4 amplifies the power of laser projection through optimized efficiency and enhanced onscreen movie presentation. AMC Theatres is set to be the first exhibitor to receive the new screens, with nearly two dozen installs planned this year.

Marcus Theatres Opens Wisconsin’s First ScreenX Auditorium

Marcus Theatres, the fourth largest exhibitor in the U.S., announced today that they have opened the first-ever ScreenX auditorium in the Wisconsin. The new immersive, 270-degree panoramic ScreenX theatre from CJ DPlex is open at the Marcus Ridge Cinema in New Berlin, Wisconsin, in time for 20th Century Studios’ The Creator, opening September 29.

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One Releasing in ScreenX and 4DX

CJ 4DPlex and Paramount Pictures have announced that Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One will be released in both the 270-degree panoramic ScreenX format and the multi-sensory 4DX experiential format. 4DX will feature Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, beginning July 10 and ScreenX shows will begin July 11.

The Flash Releasing in ScreenX and 4DX

CJ 4DPlex and Warner Bros. Pictures today announced that the epic DC superhero movie The Flash will debut in both the 270-degree panoramic ScreenX format and the multisensory 4DX experiential format. Distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, The Flash will release in North American theatres on June 16 and internationally beginning June 14.

Galalite Screens Upgrades to Improve Sustainablity

Galalite Screens, India, has taken a step towards reducing its carbon footprint and improving sustainability by investing in an air and water pollution control system in its plant. During the production of Avatar, Galalite’s factory operated around the clock to meet the demand. Following the success of the film, they temporarily closed the plant to undergo significant upgrades.
