Die Hard has been named the UK’s favorite action movie of all time, according to new national research. The 1988 all-out-action classic, starring Bruce Willis as a New York City police detective, took 18 percent of the vote, beating out competition from Steven Spielberg’s Raiders of the Lost Ark and Tom Cruise favorite Top Gun (13 percent), according to the nationwide study carried out by Showcase Cinemas.

To celebrate the release of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Showcase Cinemas in the UK is giving a Spider-Man super-fan the chance to win a unique custom-made film poster. The artwork, created by Lewis Richards, 29, a manager at Showcase Cinema de Lux Nottingham, is on display in the foyer at the cinema, and is being offered as a one-of-a-kind prize for the ultimate Spider-Fan to win.

Cinderella UK’s Favorite Disney Princess

Cinderella has been named the UK’s favorite Disney princess, according to new national research, from Showcase Cinemas. The study, which was commissioned to celebrate the release of the live-action The Little Mermaid, also revealed Cinderella (11 percent) is the nation’s favorite Disney Princess movie – with the top three characters also reflected in the UK’s top three favorite films as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (10 percent) and Beauty and the Beast (8 percent) landed among the nation’s favorites.

Showcase Cinemas UK Announces Free Movie Ticket Offer

To celebrate a run of epic blockbuster releases, Showcase Cinemas’ Insider members who watch any four films between May 3 and August 18 will receive a free ticket to see a film of their choice between September 1 and October 20 at its locations nationwide.
