Christie has been confirmed as the official projection technology partner for the 75th Cannes Film Festival, which runs May 17-28. Christie will provide installation and show support for the occasion, as it celebrates its 16th year as technical partner.
The Last Waltz (1978), Singin’ in the Rain (1952) and several other classics represented by Park Circus will feature as part of the Cinéma de la plage program, a series of free screenings at the Cannes Film Festival, taking place each evening in an open-air theatre on the Macé beach. The festival runs May 17-28.

Color grading and editorial finishing for A Father’s Son, director Patrick Chen’s short film about the murder of a teenage boy in Manhattan’s Chinatown, was completed at Nice Shoes in preparation for its world premiere at the 17th Annual Disorient Asian American Film Festival in Oregon. Colorist Phil Choe worked with Chen, cinematographer Jason Chew and editor Xiaoya (Patricia) Ma in polishing the look of the film.
Whipped Sea and Abacus Media Rights have announced that the documentary feature Savage Waters will celebrate its World Premiere as the Opening Night Film at DocLands Documentary Film Festival in Marin County, California on May 5. The screening will be followed by a special Q&A. Savage Waters is directed by Mikey Corker (Beneath the Surface), produced by Ghislaine Couvillat (Girls Can’t Surf, Against the Tides, The Quest for the Wild) of Whipped Sea and edited by Emmy Award winning Editor Jordan Montminy (The 8th, A Courtship), with story consultation from BAFTA award winning Nic Guttridge (The Spy Who Fell to Earth, The Night Caller).
New York CineFest will welcome dozens of independent films, short and feature length, to the inaugural year of the international film festival May 13-15 at the Cinépolis Luxury Cinemas in Chelsea. Films of all genres will be presented, including documentaries.

In support of Ukraine, the Göteborg Film Festival is teaming up with Story, Draken Film and Folkets Bio to host screenings of Simon Lereng Wilmont's festival winner A House made of Splinters, set in a children's home in Eastern Ukraine. The screenings will take place in cinemas throughout Sweden and online via Göteborg Film Festival’s streaming service, Draken Film. All money raised from the screenings will go in full to the organization Voices of Children in Ukraine.

With a 673-seat capacity, the iconic cinema, located in a historic theater building just steps away from Berlin Zoologischer Garten railway station, in the heart of West Berlin, is considered Germany’s biggest independent screen and one of Berlin’s most important premiere venues.
