Maheshwari Theatre Second in Bangalore, India to Adopt Barco’s Auro 11.1 Sound

The Maheshwari Theatre in Bangalore, India has installed Barco Auro 11.1 sound technology. The new sound system will be unveiled at a press conference May 23. The 1,000-seat theater is the second screen in the region to upgrade its sound system to Auro 11.1; the Manasa Theatre upgraded its sound last July.

Levi’s, Warner Bros. First Brands to Use Screenvision’s SoundHound Capabilities

Indonesian cinema exhibitor Cinemaxx has partnered with Harman to equip more than 300 new screens with JBL Professional ScreenArray loudspeakers, powered by Crown amplifiers, over the next 12 months. In the years ahead, Cinemaxx may outfit up to 1,000 screens throughout Indonesia with JBL and Crown.

Yes Planet Cinema Upgrades Sound System

As if vibrating chairs, gusts of wind, thunder and lightning was not enough, the Israel Theaters Group which owns Cinema City International, recently added a Barco Auro 3D sound system to the three largest theaters at the Yes Planet complexes in Rishon LeZion. The multi-dimensional sound system features Harman’s JBL loudspeakers and Crown DSi 2000 amplifiers.

Hoyts Chile Converts to Digital Cinema with Christie Technology

Hoyts Chile, part of Grupo Chilefilms, will install Christie digital cinema technology in its 127 35mm theaters distributed across 23 complexes throughout the country. The technologies include Christie Solaria Series projectors, the Christie Avias-TMS theatre management system and select Christie Vive Audio cinema sound systems.
