DCS Events, organizers of the Emerging Cinema Markets Conference at the Grand Tarabya Hotel in Istanbul November 19-21, have announced further details of the dedicated session Spotlight on Nigeria and West Africa. There is currently only one cinema screen per one million Africans.

Africa will be a key focus when the Emerging Cinema Markets Conference at the Grand Tarabya Hotel in Istanbul convenes November 19-21. The conference is run by Digital Cinema Solutions Events. Rob Arthur, founder and director of DCS Events and senior consultant at the Big Picture says, “Cinema in Africa is the new frontier. It is critically important that the industry stakeholders work as a team to best manage the growth opportunities cross the continent.”

The Emerging Cinema Markets Conference will be held for its second year November 19-21 in Istanbul. Building on the success of last year’s event, this year special focus sessions will be held on Turkey, Africa, the Balkans, Central Asia and other emerging countries. There will also be an update on the Gulf Cooperation Council cinema industry hosted by The Big Picture Cinema Consultants. Keynote speakers and the full schedule will be announced over the coming months.

The MENA Cinema Forum, the region's largest event of its kind, will return to Dubai from October 22-24, promising more than 60 speakers and 800 experts in the field of cinema production, exhibition and distribution from 50 countries, it will be spread over two levels at Conrad Dubai.
