Hula Post’s Actions Speak Louder Than Words

Hula Post Production provided editorial systems, facilities and support to editor Melissa Kent and her crew during the production of the indie film Louder Than Words, the new dramatic feature from Identity Films. Hula set up and maintained a remote editorial facility in Connecticut, where the film spent five weeks shooting, and later provided editorial facilities at its Tribeca West location in West Los Angeles.

Editors Tim Wilson and Ben Suenaga have departed Go Robot!, New York, and opened a new editing company with partner and managing director/executive producer Melissa Mapes called Friendshop! The new venture will temporarily operate as artists in residence at Outpost Digital, New York, while permanent offices are undergoing construction.

Qube Cinema Supports Cinecolor's Transition to Digital Cinema

Qube Cinema has sold its digital cinema servers and DCP mastering software to Cinecolor post-production facilities in five Latin American countries. Each of the Cinecolor post houses – in Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Mexico and Columbia – now has a Qube XP-D server in its screening room for QC of its DCPs. Cinecolor Argentina and Columbia also use QubeMaster Pro for mastering DCPs. The DCP mastering and QC equipment enable Cinecolor to meet the growing demand for digital cinema post-production services in Latin America.

Documentary Joachim Prinz: I Shall Not Be Silent Posted at Aciem Studios

Aciem Studios recently completed the post-production, mixing, and finishing for the documentary feature film Joachim Prinz: I Shall Not Be Silent, which had its US premiere at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center earlier this month as part of a special event produced by the New Jersey Jewish Film Festival.
