Post-production finishing for the new independent feature Dixieland was completed at Technicolor PostWorks New York. Colorist Anthony Raffaele worked with first-time writer/director Hank Bedford and cinematographer Tobias Datum to finalize the look of the tense crime thriller set in modern day Mississippi. The facility also handled editorial conforming and visual effects.

Restoring Ken Burns’ The Civil War

When Ken Burns’s 11-hour documentary The Civil War first aired on PBS in 1990, it set new standards for television documentaries through its astonishingly detailed, sweeping and often heart-wrenching recount of the epic conflict between the North and South. Working under the direction of Burns and restoration producer Daniel J. White, Technicolor PostWorks New York participated in a meticulous 4K restoration that brings the classic documentary vividly back to life. The project was done in preparation for the 25th anniversary rebroadcast of The Civil War on PBS and its Blu-ray release this month, and also coincides with the 150th anniversary of Lincoln’s assassination and the end of the war.

Technicolor PostWorks Recreates ‘80s Yonkers for Show Me a Hero

Post-production for Show Me a Hero, the new six-part drama debuting on HBO this month, recently wrapped up at Technicolor PostWorks New York. The post house handled dailies processing, editorial conforming, final color grading and deliverables. It also provided sound mixing through its PostWorks facility.

TV Land Comedy Younger Finished at Technicolor PostWorks New York

Post-production finishing for the first season of TV Land’s inspired new comedy Younger was recently completed at Technicolor PostWorks New York. Senior colorist Anthony Raffaele applied the final color grade to the original series, which has generated buzz and a growing fan base thanks to its positive depiction of intergenerational female relationships.
