Tokyo Laboratory Closing in November; Will Destroy Unclaimed Films

Tokyo Laboratory, headquartered in the Chōfu section of Tokyo and doing business as Togen, has announced that it will shut down at the end of November after 68 years in business. The company added that after the end of October, it will dispose of any unclaimed film originals still in its possession. Thus, the company is working toward returning all film originals to its clients.

Goldcrest Handles Post for Eight Tribeca Festival Films

Goldcrest Post provided post-production picture and sound services for eight films screening at this month’s Tribeca Film Festival. The work included a 4K restoration of Robert De Niro’s classic coming-of-age crime drama A Bronx Tale for its 30th anniversary Gala screening on June 10. Other projects include Choir; Waitress, The Broadway Musical – Live on Broadway! Gloria Gaynor: I Will Survive; Black Girls Play: The Story of Hand Games; Against All Enemies; Every Body, and It’s Basic.

Göteborg Film Fund Offering Grants for Ukrainian Filmmakers

On March 15 the Göteborg Film Fund is opening a call for submissions for development grants for filmmakers working within Ukraine. This is part of a bigger program for Ukraine, which was initiated in June 2022 with residency filmmakers working in Sweden, continuing with supports for dissemination and promotion of Ukrainian films, and development grants during the autumn.

The Trusted Partner Network today announced the launch of its enhanced program with a new membership model, application, and cloud content security assessments, and the TPN+ platform. TPN, which is fully owned by the Motion Picture Association, is leveraging the updated MPA Content Security Best Practices v5.0 to expand its scope to include software application and cloud security in addition to site and work-from-home security assessments.
