Technologist Jack Watts began his career in post-production in the Republic of Ireland. In 2013 he joined Technicolor in London where he was head of technology and development. There he primarily focused on mastering solutions for digital cinema, and then eventually, the interoperable master format. There he acted as an internal consultant to the technical operations, client services and business development teams. Externally, there was also the need to consult the business’s premium studio clients.

Cortex can be used to apply Dolby Vision Content Mapping algorithms (v2 and v4) in preparing Dolby Vision interoperable master format packages, and when importing, exporting or modifying Dolby Vision XML and MXF files.

The New York facility of Eurofins Digital Media Services has been granted a Certification in Dolby Vision Quality Control Services. Eurofins is the first dedicated Dolby Vision quality assurance facility on the East Coast, meeting the growing demand for quality control and testing services in New York City.

The company says it is the first facility in the greater New York area, dedicated solely to master quality control with a focus on 4K/UHD high dynamic range video and immersive audio formats.
