Inspired by Michael Connelly’s Harry Bosch novels, the Amazon Prime Video police-procedural series Bosch premiered its sixth season on April 17. The show has also been renewed for a seventh and final season, offering one last outing for the eponymous LAPD homicide detective. Cinematographer Patrick Cady, ASC has been behind the camera for roughly half of the show’s 60 episodes to date, going back to Season 1. From the beginning, Cady and his collaborators have sought to create a sense of realism grounded in the show’s Los Angeles locations.

Disney to Screen Short Horror Films from 20th Digital Studio

20th Digital Studio will premiere a series featuring 60 diverse, genre-bending short films for Halloween. These range from horror comedy to psychological thrillers and everything in between. The entire series will be screened in September and October across Disney’s digital and broadcast platforms including ABC, Freeform, FX and Hulu.

Built as an India-first video network for premium digital content, Airtel Xstream offers more than 10,000 shows and movies, and 350 live TV channels.

Netflix Offers Free Online Documentaries for Teachers and Parents

For many years, Netflix has allowed teachers to screen documentaries in their classrooms. However, this isn’t possible with schools closed in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis. In response to the situation, Netflix has made a selection of their documentary features and series available for free on the Netflix US YouTube channel.

The Movie Studio Signs Licensing Agreement with FilmHub

The Movie Studio, a vertically integrated motion picture production company, has signed a licensing agreement with FilmHub, an online marketplace for film creators and streaming services. Per the agreement, The Movie Studio will license FilmHub’s catalog for viewing on The Movie Studio App, which is available on Google Play and the App Store. The Movie Studio will also license its catalog to FilmHub for distribution via its online film marketplace.

Short-form streaming-video platform Quibi provides premium content specifically designed for consumption on a mobile device. This presented the production of its first scripted show, Dummy, with a unique set of creative and workflow issues. In addition to the standard 16:9 aspect ratio, director of photography Catherine Goldschmidt had to create visuals for a vertically oriented 9:16 presentation.

Goodnight with Dolly gets Six Million Views

Watty Piper’s The Little Engine That Could, the first episode of Goodnight With Dolly, Dolly Parton’s series of bedtime stories for children, exceeded all expectations over the weekend, garnering nearly six million views across Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and The Imagination Library’s own website. Since its inception in 1995, the Imagination Library has gifted more than 135 million books to children and is currently gifting books to 1.5 million children around the world each month.

Strike Media Proposes Free Newsletter for Film Distributors During Crisis

He is launching a free newsletter that would include all the home entertainment, video on demand and premium video on demand movies being released each week.
